After a number of successful Pop-Ups at Westfield San Francisco Centre, including the Holiday 2014 showcase “Artisan Square”, American made artisan-good retailer Maker’s Market has settled into their first brick-and-mortar location within the mall.
Open since July 1st, the flagship store builds upon founder Suzy Ekman’s mission of “rebuilding the legacy of American Made”, while also supporting local artists and the community.
Maker’s Market’s journey from temporary space to brick-and-mortar is a familiar story within the Westfield Mall Retail portfolio and one that highlights the important role Pop-Up plays in allowing new-to-market retailers to test a region while also gaining important brand exposure.
For Maker’s Market, the huge success of their Westfield Pop-Ups, coupled with their growth in customers, (achieved by the mall’s over 200,000 weekly shoppers), made the decision to open a more permanent location an easy one.
